Liverpool City Council - Late Night Levy - update

Earlier this month we confirmed that Licensing Authority had adopted the Late Night Levy.

Full details of the Levy have now been released.

The Levy will commence from 1 April 2017.

It will apply to all premises within Licensing Authority geographical area operating between midnight and 6 a.m. on one or more days per year.  The exemptions are limited being in respect of New Year’s Eve and to those sites paying a BID Levy under the two BID schemes which exist within Liverpool.

The Licensing Authority have confirmed that there will be an opportunity to make application for a Minor Variation in respect of which the application fee will not apply. The window for such applications to be lodged is between 31 January 2017 and 1 April 2017.
